As well as the Doctors, the Surgery calls on the services of District Nurses, CPNs, Midwife, Health Visitors, Physiotherapist, Dietician, Counsellor and a Citizen's Advice Worker.

In addition to the full GP services, the Practice offers: -

- Ante-natal Clinic
- Asthma Clinic
- COPD Clinic
- Diabetic Clinic (also with attending Chiropodist)
- Family Planning Clinic
- Smoking Advice Clinic
- Weight Management

Alternate Saturdays 9.00am - 12noon

Special Provision
Out-of-Hours.

Urgent Out-of-Hours care is provided at the Urgent Care Centre at Bishop Auckland General Hospital.

Shildon Young People's Advice Service.

The Hallgarth Surgery is involved in a Young People's Advice Service that runs at Shildon Leisure Centre each Thursday between 3:30pm & 5:00pm. This offers Young People between the ages of 11 & 16 advice & information regarding health, social concerns, contraception, sexual health, etc.
